Hello, my name is Shannon. I’m originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and came to Colorado in 2019 to pursue Massage at Denver Integrative Massage School. My passion for Massage immediately flourished as I started to serve the community of Grand County during school. I traveled around the valley offering free or discounted sessions in exchange for school hours and practice. Before I was finished with school, I already formed multiple client relationships which birthed the start of Balance Massage and Healing. The name of this business is inspired by the Balancing act of life and how that relates to taking care of our mind and bodies’ through the art of Massage. In my sessions you can expect an integrated, holistic approach with a deep listening to your body. I pull from a large toolbox of modalities such as Thai Therapeutics, Trigger Point Release, Myofascial Release, Hydrotherapy (Heat), and three dimensional techniques. When it comes to Body work there’s not a, “one size fits all’. That’s why every session I provide is unique and specific to what the client may need in the moment. I consistently attempt to bring more symmetry, equilibrium, relief, and relaxation to the body. I’m always looking for ways to refine techniques through watching videos, taking continuing education courses, and also receiving massage often. The knowledge of the body is never ending so I know I’ll be a student forever in this ever evolving life. Massage is my passion work and I hope you feel it from my hands. "Absolutely amazing! Shannon tried multiple techniques on me after I came in with shoulder soreness from being on the slopes. She told me she specializes in deep tissue, but in addition to that she gave me the hot stone treatment as well as cupping! 15/10 would recommend!! Worth every penny. Bonus- Her massage oils smell sooo sooo good (I wish I could remember what she used!) and I appreciated that the music was super relaxing yet not traditionally what you’d expect to hear during a massage."
